One Tail at a Time | PDX is an all-breed, no-kill dog rescue committed to lowering euthanasia rates through the rescue and adoption of dogs in need; comprehensive support of adopters; and community outreach through humane education programs and assistance for disadvantaged and low-income families. If you are looking to adopt a furry, or feathery friend, check out the Oregon Humane Society. We also recommend them if you're looking to volunteer with cats, small animals, or dogs. They even have a store that benefits the pets at OHS directly.

This is a foster based rescue in the Portland Metro and Beaverton areas of Oregon. Generally they care for dogs that are rescued from bad situations in eastern Oregon, as well as dogs set to be euthanized at shelters. If you're looking to foster a dog or cat, or adopt one or the other, please consider checking out their website.

Another foster based rescue in the Portland Metro area. Underdog Railroad Rescue pulls dogs from areas in southern California that are set to be euthanized. Once they're in the area, they go into foster awaiting their forever homes. Please consider checking out their site if you're looking to add to the family or even just to foster.
